Dune London AW15
Ladies, ladies, ladies. If you are heel lover, a flat fanatic, a smoking slipper savant or you just have a very strong all round shoe obsession, please read on. Last week I attended the Dune AW15 launch at the Four Seasons Hotel the Westcliff, and the only thing I can say is Wow. (Well, that’s not the only thing…)
This season sees a stripped back collection from Dune London, with a focus on clean lines and new textures suited to everyday living
Taking on a clean, contemporary feel, contrasting colours, plush embossed leathers and texture mash-ups bring interest to classic winter staples. Linear silhouettes drive the collection, drawing together elegant profiles and simple, modern architectural lines. The collection’s simplicity is elevated using rich textures of oily metallic, chunky glitter, lace and patent gloss, perfect for the day through into cocktail hour. Signature courts take on a fierce new look with a sleek point and sharp heel structure. If you love man shoes, masculine elements come through in brogues, loafers and ankle boots setting an androgynous tone. Heavy cleated soles and buckle detailing make every day out door wear versatile and contemporary. Rich chocolate tones bring a sense of indulgence to classic shapes. Minimalism is the foundation of this collection, suited to the understated, functional dresser. Clean cut aesthetics and textured simplicity are constants throughout.
The footwear beauties were all arranged according to a story, complete with mood board and matching items. I instantly fell in love with about 6 pairs of shoes and even resorted to cradling the Celena shoe (while the brand manager looked on suspiciously). This is just a taste of the gorgeous items Dune have on offer this Autumn/Winter. In stores from end February 2015.

I am absolutely obsessed with the AW15 collection from Dune. The colours are so pretty, and there are a lot of neutrals. The lines are clean and the silhouettes are classic. It’s the sort of collection that you could get a lot of use out of (whilst still looking incredible). I approve.
