May Loves

1. Buying:  I am mildly insanely obsessed with studs so it made perfect sense to have this beautiful white studded bag from Call it Spring. If you’re thinking that white is a hard colour to pair with your wardrobe, its not! This bag goes with so many outfits in my wardrobe.

2. Watching: After watching my first episode en route from Egypt to S.A., I was hooked.   New Girl is an entertaining take on modern-day romance, friendship and life and if you haven’t seen it, do yourself a favour – its hilarious! Schmidt, Nick and Cece are my favourites.

3. Reading: In need of something funny and light, a friend recommended Watermelon by Marian Keyes. This is the synopsis: “At twenty-nine, fun-loving, good-natured Claire has everything she ever wanted: a husband she adores, a great apartment, a good job. Then, on the day she gives birth to her first baby, James visits her in the recovery room to inform her that he’s leaving her. Claire is left with a beautiful newborn daughter, a broken heart, and a body that she can hardly bear to look at in the mirror. So, in the absence of any better offers, Claire decides to go home to her family in Dublin. To her gorgeous man-eating sister Helen, her soap-watching mother, her bewildered father. And there, sheltered by the love of an (albeit quirky) family, she gets better. A lot better. In fact, so much better that when James slithers back into her life, he’s in for a bit of a surprise.“

4. Loving: My recently purchased denim shirt from Zara. It is super warm, and feels so comfy. My favourite way to wear it is with wax pants and heels or wax pants and my new black pointy studded flat pumps (also loving) (and also from Zara).

5. Beauty: My skin gets quite dry in the colder months. I love natural products and saw the Dr Hauschka range of products (which I’ve heard good things about) on a 25% less promotion. I decided to start small and picked up the Quince Day Cream. It has beeswax and quince extract to keep up moisture levels. I love it. My skin is happy, healthy and hydrated. (Side note: if you’re not a fan of organic smelling products, it does have a different, almost creamy lemon smell, but that doesn’t last too long.)

6. Eating: Six words: Häagen-Dazs Chocolate, Pralines and Caramel. Go and get it.

7. On my Wishlist: The Michael Kors Astor Buckle Bangle in rose gold is soooo pretty. When I think about this bangle, an old saying comes to mind: “Where there’s a will…” you know the rest. Stay tuned ;)
