Review | Chanel Le Volume Mascara
Hi there Lovelies,
Recently I received a tube of Chanel’s Le Volume mascara and I couldn’t wait to try it out. I am a sucker for new products, especially mascaras (and lip glosses and lipsticks and bb creams and moisturisers and serums!!!). I think its absolutely essential to have a mascara that works with your eyelashes and enhances your eyes in the most beautiful way. Bear in mind that your eyelash type will determine what you want from a mascara. If you have short eyelashes, you will probably be after length, if you have straight eyelashes, you are probably looking for some sort of lift or curl and if you are lucky enough to have long eyelashes, volume would be your main concern. My eyelashes are of normal length (sadly, I wasn’t gifted with super long lashes) so for me, I go for length and volume, as both are equally important on my list.

What I liked …
As per its name, the Chanel Le Volume Mascara definitely delivers on volume. It opens up the eye beautifully and lifts the lashes. Chanel deserves a round of applause for achieving a flake-free mascara. It lasts the whole day and doesn’t drop nasty bits of blackness that turn you into a panda come the end of the day.
What I didn’t love …
The formula was quite ‘wet’ so the application involved lots of smudges and wiping. That said, I was using a brand new tube of the mascara. I suspect that when the formula becomes a bit drier, it will be easier to apply. I also wasn’t a fan of how it made my lashes clump together – and I had to use a lash comb to separate my lashes.

Et voilà! The left shot is sans mascara and the right shot has one coat of Le Volume mascara.
Overall, I enjoyed this mascara and would rate it as one of the better ones out there. I think it would work the best on long eyelashes, so if you have them, give this mascara a go!
