2014 Met Gala | Best Dressed
The Costume Institute Gala, known as the Met Ball or Met Gala, is an annual ball that celebrates the annual opening of New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art’s fashion exhibit at the Costume Institute. The red carpet evening is hosted by Vogue magazine. It is widely regarded as one of the most exclusive social events in New York and one of the biggest fundraising nights of the city. The affair, attended by personalities from the arts, fashion and entertainment, has been held at the Met since 1971 and is considered to be the fashion industry’s premier annual red carpet event. Anna Wintour (Vogue editor-in-chief and chair of the event since 1995) oversees both the benefit committee and the guest list.
Out of all of the yearly social events and award ceremonies, the Met Gala is my highlight. Celebrities unleash a little more personality, and the occasion gives them the space to more daring and creative. Here are my top looks of the night…
