Hand Cream | Nivea Soft Review
Amongst other handbag staples that I carry around on a daily basis, a trusted tube of hand cream is one of them. I hate that squeaky-clean feeling that some hand washes give you and if I find myself sans a tube of hand cream in my bag, I feel naked. I desire my hand cream to meet my needs and care for me (I’m talking hand creams, not men). I have 5 main criteria for a hand cream:
- It must care lovingly for my hands
- It must moisturise my hands – properly!
- It must make my skin soft
- It must not leave excess product on my hands
- I don’t want it to overpower me with its scent (my absolute worst is when the nauseatingly overwhelming scent of artificial [insert worst smell] caramel lingers all day)
In my search for the perfect hand cream, I have tried strongly scented lotions, greasy moisturisers, ineffective cremes, substandard balms and disappointing treatments. Having tried a plethora of products, I am happy to announce that I have found ‘the one’.
Is it a luxury brand like La Mer you ask? A high end brand such as Gatineau? No. It’s good old, accessible, afforable Nivea. Yup. It’s out. I’m in love with Nivea Soft Refreshingly Soft Moisturising Cream.

Why I love it?
♥ It cares for and mositurises my hands beautifully, instantly soothing them after using harsh hand soaps
♥ It is quick absorbing and doesn’t leave greasy residue on my hands
♥ It doesn’t have a sickly sweet, potently persistent fragrance
♥ Because it’s not strictly a hand cream, if I spot a rough patch anywhere on my body, I can easily rub some on and the unevenness is gone!
