Last week was all about the accessory du jour – the statement necklace. This week we’re on to a timeless, classic piece… the LBD.

6.   The Little Black Dress

Perhaps more than any other piece of clothing, the little black dress is an absolute wardrobe essential, the one piece that will take you practically anywhere, time and time again. Invest in one that’s special to you and that looks unique. Look for an interesting sleeve, an embellished belt or a different neckline. Pull your LBD out of your cupboard when you aren’t too sure what to wear, have to buy a dress at the last minute, or for any social gathering really. You can dress it up with heels, a clutch and beautiful cuff or statement necklace, or down with pumps, a cardigan with a waist belt and some stacked bangles.
