Creative Environments | Your Best Work

What environment do you love to work in? What brings out your creativity? My ideal setting is inside a cosy coffee shop (with wifi of course!), especially on a grey-ish day. I’ll have a skinny weak decaf cappuccino (I’m such a lightweight when it comes to caffeine) and some ice water with lemon. I either plug into the buzz around me and drift along with it, or I tune out by listening to some sweet tunes. Now, because I don’t live at a coffee shop (or own one)(it would be cool though!), and most times it’s nice to be comfy, being at home is the best place to be. When I’m at home, I like to get cosy with some *fruit tea, some cool pj’s (essentially loungewear), put my hair in a ponytail and work. In an effort to create a creative environment, the one thing I have been thrilled to discover is the monthly playlist from Elie Saab’s The Light of Now website. The music is such great background/ambient music and I love the fact that I don’t know the lyrics – because if I do, I start singing along, and then the article becomes weird all of a sudden (anyone else have that problem?). I just wanted to share this with you today, in case you’re looking for some inspiring, different, chilled background music to work with.

*It’s seriously delicious and you should check it out if you love herbal teas. It’s called Falling in Love again, and is made up of delicious fruit pieces of mango, peach, apple, pear, pineapple, papaya, as well as Hibiscus blossoms, Sunflower blossoms and Passion Fruit granulate. It’s available from all Tea Merchant stores.
