OOTD | Soft Neutrals

Autumn and winter can be quite serious when it comes to colour. If you take a look around, you’ll find that most people opt for black and dark grey when the mercury drops. Is this an approach to battle the biting cold? Maybe. I don’t think I’d feel very warm wearing white pants and a baby blue sweater. There is something about black that helps to combat the cold. That said, there are days when I don’t feel like wearing black, and yesterday was such a day. I mixed neutrals in the form of grey, beige and blush to create a soft and easy look, while still being nice and cozy.

My favourite shoe in the whole world is a nude shoe. Why? Because you can pair it with anything! If it’s a colourful ensemble and you’re not sure about what colour heels to wear – slap on your nude ones! This applies to all white and even all black everything. In my wardrobe, the number of nude shoes I own strongly overpowers the amount of black shoes. I do however reserve the colour nude for heels and flats, and draw the line when it comes to boots (although I’m sure the right pair could change my mind). For the time being, I’ll be getting good use from my black boots this winter!
