Review | SPRIT Hydro Micro-Permeate Oxygen Silk Oil

To look like the picture of health, your skin should have a natural glow, your nails should be strong and your hair should be shiny and bouncy. Unfortunately, not all of us have been blessed with shininess, bounciness, radiance and/or strength. That’s where products can help you to fake the appearance of perfect health. Weak nails? Have a Gelish mani to glamourise them and make them more hardy. Lacklustre skin? Go for a professional exfoliation or indulge in a DIY home session, followed by some nourishing body oils. Lifeless hair? Use a hair treatment like SPRIT Hydro Micro-Permeate Oxygen Silk Oil!

I am somewhat obsessed with making my hair look as shiny and healthy as humanly possible (highlights have damaged a few of my strands), so believe me when I say I have tried a zillion and one serums and oils to help produce desired effect. I have spent days reviewing products on the internet, and once my mind has been made up, have rushed out to get my manicured paws on these so-called cult products, only to feel horribly let down. Until recently, I was hooked on Moroccanoil. That all changed the beautiful day that my mom bought me a bottle of Sprit Hair Oil from her visit to her hairdresser (who has now become my hairdresser) (useless bit of information for the day).

What it claims:

This leave in treatment gently smoothes the cuticles for a silky effect and helps fortify hair that is prone to breaking. It contains 18 amino acids and vitamins to repair damaged hair and prevent breakage, contains UV filters, and may be used on the hair or the skin. It protects the hair against heat damage and reduces friction from brushing and helps prevent further damage, leaving hair healthy, shiny and resilient.

What I think:

I love it! I use it before I blow dry, together with my heat proctectant spray and then again after I have finished styling to smoothe my hair and give it some extra shine. I think this combination is the secret. I’ve tried using it only after my blow dry, but it doesn’t seem to have the same glorious effect. It doesn’t weigh my hair down at all and smells lovely. I use it every day, whether I’ve washed my hair or not, to give my hair a healthy shine and lovely finish. Basically, it brings my hair back to life. If you’re looking for a hair treatment, give it a try! You won’t be disappointed.
