Review | Tangle Teezer Feline Groovy

The Tangle Teezer is a brush that is said to glide through tangles, whilst making sure that hair breakage is minimized. According to them, the Tangle Teezer is “an innovative hairbrush that is just too busy being fabulous! Cute in size and big on style, it can be popped into your bag and pulled out in a New York minute to reboot hair in seconds.  Has a removable cover to protect the patented and innovative teeth from fluff and dirt.”

Whilst browsing on Rubybox one day, I decided that I had to have the Tangle Teezer in leopard print.  Here are my thoughts…

First up, the print is fab, and if you catch sight of it in your handbag, it looks like a fashionable accessory, which is a total bonus. The fact that it has a cover also conceals the fact that it is a brush and  protects it from random bits in your handbag.  It’s also not as bulky as a regular hairbrush, which makes it perfect for travelling. I love the Tangle Teezer’s bristles – the fact that they are differently sized means that the Tangle Teezer attacks knots from all angles. And they feel amazing on the scalp! So amazing that they actually induce a trance-like state when boyfriend brushes my hair. I have heard various complaints relating to the ergonomics and ease of use of the original Tangle Teezer, but I think they got it just right with this compact styler, as it fits snugly in the palm of my hand and is really easy to use. I love the Tangle Teezer overall, but find that because they are so short, the bristles don’t go all the way through my hair, like a regular brush would. I would reach for my GHD paddle brush before I reach for the Tangle Teezer, but would use the Tangle Teezer for travelling and in the shower for brushing my hair (after I apply conditioner).
