February Loves

1. Buying: I walked into Zara with a client and saw thee most beautiful black cut out strappy heels! After we had finished with her personal shopping, I ran straight back to Zara (literally, they had 2 pairs left) and I got the last size 5. Totally made my weekend!

2. Play: Boyfriend took me go-karting last weekend and I absolutely loved it! At first I was a bit sceptical, but I ended up enjoying every second of it. Hair note: don’t get all fancy because all your hard work will be for nothing. You have to wear a helmet.

 3. Watching: I watched a movie called ‘Intouchables’ last week, which is a French film with English subtitles. It’s an uplifting comedy about friendship, trust and human possibility and is definitely worth seeing. Wreck-It Ralph is also a sweet movie. It provides for easy watching as it takes you on a clever, colourful adventure built on familiar themes and joyful nostalgia, with quite a few adult references.

 4. Loving: Biscotti. Obviously I am the last one to pick up on this delicious food trend (why did no one tell me?!), but give me any and all kinds of biscotti, especially the roasted hazelnut-chocolate kind. Yum. I looked through a few recipes and finally found one that I want to try out!

5.Reading: If you have an iPad, Flipboard is a great app to have. It’s a social magazine that lets you customise your interests so that every day you have something new to read on your favourite subjects! Very cool.

6. Beauty: Definitely worth having in your makeup bag, Woolworths Lipgloss in Barely Pink provides super shine and a gorgeous nude pink colour. And it’s only R55.

 7. On my Wishlist: The Michael Kors Status Link Bracelet in either rose gold or silver is a gorgeous bangle that I’m lusting after.
