Issey Miyake has launched the annual limited edition summer versions of L’Eau d’Issey and L’Eau d’Issey Pour Homme. This season, summer is enhanced as we are immersed in the ocean with its magical underwater universe and tempted with juicy, tropical fruit. This year’s theme: starfish and exotic fruits.

Issey Miyake Summer

the juice

L’Eau D’Issey Summer 2014 extends a sweet fruity-floral invitation that speaks of seaside fun and gentle, fragrant breezes. The juice is crystal clear, just like water, and invokes a sense of refreshing calm.

The SCENT

The scent recalls the freshness of the original L’Eau d’Issey with its cool aqua notes, but the fusion of fresh and juicy fruits ensure that this summer edition is light-hearted and vibrant. When you first spray the fragrance, you are instantly presented with notes of delicious pink grapefruit coupled with imperial litchi. The middle notes consist of captivating passion fruit and guava that eventually culminate into a dry down that delves your senses in a dream of vanilla and woody notes.

Similar to the original fragrance, this summer edition is also light, so does tend to wear off quicker. It is not a heavy, long-lasting fragrance such as YSL’s Black Opium or Viktor & Rolf’s Bon Bon.

THE BOTTLE

The special edition flacon is inspired by the many treasures found in the ocean, a perfect complement to the refreshing and exhilarating fragrance. The pink sea life illustration lends to the fun and vibrant nature of the fragrance.

If you love Issey Miyake then you will love the summer edition. It’s slightly heavier than the original fragrance but with a fruity-floral smell. Perfect for summer!

L’Eau D’Issey Summer EDT  is available at selected, Truworths, Foschini, Woolworths, Stuttafords stores and selected pharmacies for the RRSP of R770 for the 100ml
