New York, New York

NYC is a buzzing city, brimming with energy and people, where you can literally shop ’til you drop, eat whatever you feel like, be entertained non-stop, and have the time of your life! If you’ve never been, make it one of your life’s goals to go. Here are a few pictures from my highlights reel of my most recent trip to the Big Apple.

An entire life-sized swimmer made from only Lego bricks at Discovery’s Art of the Brick exhibition and brunch with a friend at Bagatelle, Chelsea, in the form of brioche french toast with Nutella and raspberries. I can assure you that it was as delicious as it looks.

I was so excited to get to try out some of the newly launched Marc Jacobs Beauty products, and these rose gold studded Schutz flats are the perfect pair to add to my Summer collection.

I wasn’t a real fan of fruit in salad until I tasted this deeeelish salad with mango, strawberries, feta and greens from a cute spot in Little Italy. I went to NYC with high hopes of treating myself to a pair of nude Pigalles (remember my June Loves post?), but alas, they didn’t fit well enough for me to warrant spending an insane amount of money. If you’re going to spend that much on shoes, they better be perfect. But they weren’t (I wore a sad face for the next 2 hours). This is the 140mm Peep Toe Strass Spiked Platform Pump, which fit, but which I didn’t buy.

This was taken outside the Barclays Centre in Brooklyn where I attended the VMA’s. This was the first time that the VMA’s were held in Brooklyn and I am thrilled that I got to attend. It was an experience I will never forget! Seeing Justin Timberlake and Lady GaGa live, as well as other artists was ultra exciting. If you go to NYC, be sure to head over to a Shake Shack for an amazing time! The lines are always long, but move very quickly, and are well worth the wait. Think golden fries, premium burgers and frozen custard. Oh yes. You read right. I said frozen custard. It deserves an entire blog post of its own.

I got this customised popsicle at a cute little place called Pop Bar. You can choose your combination of flavours (I chose pb and chocolate naturally, covered in hazelnuts). If you’re in NYC visit Pop Bar! Enjoying my shoe-gazing trip at Bergdorfs I spotted a triple threat: the gorgeous Valentino Rockstud heels in matte and patent.

I was so excited that I could get my hands on Cherry Coke anywhere! And also, I met Zachary Levi! I had a small crush on him when he starred in Chuck and it was great to chat to him. He’s super nice.

My very first baseball game at the Yankees Stadium was incredible! It took place on a Tuesday night and the stadium (think Soccer City size) was packed! I’m in love with my new Stuart Weitzman rose jelly flats. They’re nude and I think will look great with just about anything!

How cool is this? The Star Spangled Banner made from Converse sneakers at the Converse store in SoHo. Oh my goodness! The frozen hot chocolate from Serendipity deserves all the hype surrounding it. It’s one of the best things I’ve ever tasted.

If you”re going to NYC soon, do some research beforehand, or pop me a mail and I’ll gladly recommend some cool stuff for you to do and see and, of course, eat .
