Sometimes you need to give your makeup that extra bit of staying-power. When I don’t feel like hauling my makeup bag around with me and I have an event to attend at night, I like to know that I can apply my makeup in the morning and it will still look good at 8:00pm. Estée Lauder’s Double Wear Stay-in-Place Powder Makeup is one of the products that helps me to achieve this.

My morning routine is to apply a bit of primer after my moisturiser, foundation and then powder, followed by the rest of my makeup. I wouldn’t normally ever purchase powder, because I’m not a fan of heavy makeup, and I’ve seen powder make women look old beyond their years. Let me just begin by saying that this stuff is on another level.

Why I like Double Wear Stay-in-Place Powder Makeup is because doesn’t give me that caked on look and almost looks invisible, giving my skin a matte finish. It also really helps to absorb oil. I have a t-zone, so only apply it to my nose, around my nose, on my chin and forehead. Another plus is that it doesn’t settle into fine lines (making you look older) and it doesn’t clog your pores. It literally stays in place (like the name says) and if I apply it over my Estée Lauder Double Wear Light foundation, my makeup has super staying power – no need for touch ups. This is literally what dreams are made of.

I recommend it to anyone who likes long wear medium to full coverage foundation powder, and anyone who has oily or combination skin.
