Review | Revlon Parfumerie Nail Polish

Last week, I chatted to you about this amazing multitasking beauty product. This week it’s Revlon Parfumerie Scented Nail Enamel’s turn in the spotlight. So what is it exactly? A scented nail polish of course! Now you might be thinking to yourself “Why do I need my nails to smell pretty?”. The only logical answer is “Why not!?”.

Revlon describes it as “A whole new way to experience colour. Vibrant, shiny shades go on smoothly for flawless colour then dry to light, irresistible fragrances. In 24 scented colours.” Eager to try this new concept out, I picked two gorgeous shades: African Tea Rose and China Flower.

African Tea Rose is a magnificent bright, cool-toned pink and has a subtle pink and blue shimmer (if you look very closely). I made the mistake of smelling it straight out the bottle, and got an unpleasant, heavy whiff of nail polish! Only when it dried did the pleasing beautiful rose scent come through. China Flower is a bright coral-red creme jelly and has a lovely, light floral smell to it. It smells pretty but not sweet. I can’t quite explain the scent accurately because I don’t think anyone out there knows what a China Flower smells like, and don’t even think that the China Flower exists (although I stand to be corrected). Both colours make me happy!

Both went on streak-free and were a pleasure to apply. They both lasted about 2 days and on the third day, I started to get the usual chipping that happens with most other nail polishes. As for the scent, both were undetectable on the second day. I would have liked the scent to linger a bit longer.
